Alberta

Alberta, often known as The Wild Rose Country, offers a high level of life comparable to that of the people who currently live there. Furthermore, being a member of Alberta’s robust and stable economy provides you with a health-care system. It’s also known for having some of North America’s most gorgeous national parks, including Banff and Jasper. It has one of the most robust provincial economies in Canada, attracting immigrants from all over the country and the world.

Alberta is well-known for its fossil fuels, agriculture, forestry, education, tourism, and hospitality, as well as its manufacturing industry, which employs thousands of people in Canada. An applicant can apply for one of three streams:

1. Stream of Opportunity in Alberta (AOS)
2. Stream for Express Entry in Alberta
3. Stream for Self-Employed Farmers

AOS

ALBERTA OPPORTUNITY STREAM​

Applicants must have a legal work permit in their particular vocations, and post-graduate work permit holders must present educational qualifications (degrees/diplomas). The applicants listed below are ineligible to apply under AOS.

  • Refugee.
  • Temporary residents who are living or working in a province other than Alberta.
  • Foreign nationals who do not have a valid temporary residence visa.
  • In Canada, there are live-in careers.

Language

  • Canadian Benchmark (CLB) and Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) exam scores are used to determine if the language is English or French.
  • For each English and French language, a minimum test score of 4 is necessary.
  • The AINP needs a CLB of 7 in English or an NCLC of 7 in French language for nurse aides, orderlies, and patient service occupations.
  • Applicants for NOC 0, A, or B occupations must have a CLB 5 in each of the English and French languages.
  • At the time of your application, your official test scores must be no more than two years old.

Occupation

A job that matches your past work experience and falls under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill levels 0, A, B, C, or D is eligible to apply.

Under the AOS, certain jobs are ineligible.

  • Ministers and lawmakers
  • School officials and principals
  • Teachers in secondary, primary, and kindergarten schools
  • Managers of community services or correctional services
  •  Chiefs and staffs of fire departments
  • Services of an escort or a massage parlour
  • Services based on religion
  • Authors and writers
  •  Performers of music
  •  Comedians and actors
  • Artists who paint or work in a similar field
  • Justices of the peace and court officers
  • Dental laboratory assistants/workers on the bench
  • Drivers of taxis and limousines
  •  Hunting
  • Attendants and operators of amusement parks, leisure parks, and sporting events
  • Laborers for the harvest
  • Gardeners and groundskeepers
  • Laborers in aquaculture and marine harvesting
  • Mineworkers
  • Sportspersons
  • Agents of real estate
  • Child-care providers who work from home
  • Domestic helpers, housekeepers, and other similar vocations
  • Work at a casino
