Federal Skilled Workers (FSW)
Federal Skilled Workers are the workers who have sufficient skills with work experience and acceptable educational qualifications with language abilities that are understandable in Canada. In other words, skilled workers are those people who have special skills, education, training, or knowledge that they can use in their work and can also help others to acquire these skills.
The Federal Skilled Labor Program is an immigration program for foreign workers who are skilled and educated workers in their home country. According to this FSW (Federal Skilled Worker) program, a foreign worker can apply for immigration to Canada and can get a Permanent Residency in the country.
Requirements for Federal Skilled Workers​
If you want to take benefit of this Federal Skilled Workers program, you must meet the minimum criteria or requirements of the same. Below are some requirements which you have to meet in order to take advantage of this program.
Work experience
Must have worked at least one year continuously full-time or equivalent part-time in a skilled occupation (NOC O,A,B or TEER 0,1,2,3)
Canada residence
He or she Will have to be ready to live outside Quebec.
Language abilities
He or she must have Language abilities(Reading, writing, listing, and speaking abilities) in English and French
FSWP eligibility grid
He or she will have to gain at least 67 points out of 100 in the Federal skilled Worker program(PSWP) eligibility grid
Financial eligibility
He or she must have enough funds for settlement in Canada
Educational requirements
He or she must have Canadian educational certificates (minimum high school diploma or equivalent in foreign education)
Medical test
People who want to benefit from this program, have to show their medical test that they are in good health.
Obey all laws
It is necessary that He or she has followed every Canadian law and has not any criminal records neither in Canada nor in a foreign country. If any candidates meet these requirements then they are eligible for submitting an Express entry application for the Federal skilled worker program.
